Google Chrome is a very good browser that offers plenty of features and provides a very good internet experience. Also, it comes with multiple security features that will protect your computer against malware, phishing, and other unpleasant situations that can ruin your day, or more.
However, some of these protective features can prevent you in your activities as well, not allowing you to do the job the way you like it. In other words, you are forced to think about the workarounds, or even better to make the changes in Google Chrome settings that will let you do the things your way.
One of such occasions is when you want to unblock the automatic downloads and allow Chrome to download multiple files from one source, which is originally blocked in its default settings. Luckily, this activity can be easily changed and only requires the following:
How to Unblock Automatic Downloads on Google Chrome
If you are wondering how the automatic downloads can be unblocked on Google Chrome, this is the path to follow:
- To begin with, open Google Chrome, by left-clicking its Taskbar icon,
double-clicking its Desktop icon, or by finding it among the apps and left-clicking it.
- Then, enter Customize and control Google Chrome (three dots in the top right corner)
and select “Settings” from the newly opened drop-down menu.
- Enter Privacy and security, located on the left side of the window,
and go to Site Settings.
- Once you do that, scroll down until you see Additional permissions and when you do, expand them.
- Go to Automatic downloads
and move the toggle next to “Do not allow any site to download multiple files automatically” to the right
until it becomes blue and the text changes to “Ask when a site tries to download files automatically after the first file (recommended)”.
After you have done that, you have allowed for automatic downloads. In other words, your job is done.
